Protect Your Eyes from the Sun
Protect Your Eyes from the Sun
1. Use Quality Sunglasses
Choosing sunglasses with adequate UV protection is essential to filter out harmful sun rays. Look for sunglasses with labels indicating 100% protection against UVA and UVB rays.
2. Wear a Hat or Cap
Complement your sunglasses with a wide-brimmed hat or sun cap to help protect your face and eyes from direct sun radiation.
3. Avoid Sun Exposure During Intense Hours
Sun rays are strongest between 10 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon. If possible, try to limit direct sun exposure during these hours.
4. Use Sunscreen in the Eye Area
Apply sunscreen specifically designed for the eye contour to protect this sensitive area of the skin from the sun.
5. Keep Eyes Hydrated
Use moisturizing eye drops to relieve eye dryness caused by sun exposure and to help keep your eyes hydrated.
6. Aim to Look in the Shade
When possible, seek shade to reduce the amount of direct sunlight reaching your eyes.
